Founded on 15 October 2015 (1437 AH) by Barrister Yahya Ibrahim Aliyu, the Yahya Ibrahim Aliyu Charity Foundation is a non-profit humanitarian organization dedicated to improving lives and empowering communities across Kano State and beyond.
For over a decade, the Foundation has remained committed to uplifting the less privileged, supporting vulnerable families, promoting education, improving healthcare access, and fostering sustainable community development.

To advance human development through charitable interventions that support orphans, widows, vulnerable families, and underserved communities while promoting peace, unity, education, and social welfare.
## What We Do
### Education Support
Education remains one of our strongest pillars. The Foundation sponsors orphaned and underprivileged children by providing:
- School fees
- Uniforms and learning materials
- NECO, WAEC, NBAIS, and JAMB registration fees
- Scholarships for qualified students in tertiary institutions
We also support young people with skills acquisition and career development opportunities to help them become productive members of society.
### Healthcare Assistance
The Foundation regularly visits hospitals within and outside Kano State to provide:
- Financial assistance for treatment
- Medication support
- Food and essential supplies for patients
Our goal is to ease the burden on struggling families and ensure that vulnerable individuals receive the care they need.
### Community Development and Water Projects
Access to clean water is a basic human need. To address this challenge, the Foundation has successfully constructed boreholes and wells in several communities, including:
- Kukan Tinku, Sumaila LGA
- Dan Bare, Kabo LGA
- Kuraye, Garko LGA
- Hayin Malami
- Bakin Lahadi, Sumaila LGA
These projects continue to improve public health and enhance the quality of life for thousands of residents.
### Mosque and School Construction
The Foundation actively supports religious and educational development by constructing and renovating:
- Mosques
- Islamic schools
- Religious learning centers
These facilities serve as centers for worship, learning, and community engagement.
### Orphan and Widow Support
We provide continuous assistance to orphans, widows, and vulnerable families through financial aid, educational sponsorship, and welfare programs aimed at restoring dignity and hope.
### Prison Outreach
The Foundation conducts periodic visits to correctional facilities to assess inmates' welfare and assist those facing financial difficulties or debt-related challenges, helping deserving individuals regain their freedom and reintegrate into society.
### Community Engagement and Social Development
Through various outreach programs, the Foundation promotes moral values, social responsibility, youth empowerment, and community service. We encourage young people to embrace education, entrepreneurship, and self-development as pathways to success.

## Funding
The Foundation is currently sustained through the generosity and commitment of its members. Approximately 80 members contribute monthly to support the Foundation's humanitarian activities and community development projects.

Despite our achievements, several challenges remain:
- Limited financial resources
- Increasing number of beneficiaries
- Rising operational and outreach costs
- Lack of dedicated transportation and logistics support
With greater support from individuals, organizations, and government institutions, we can expand our impact and reach even more communities in need.
